Easter palm – what should you make it from?

The Easter palm is one of the symbols of Easter. Although it comes in various forms and types, it is most commonly made from multicoloured dried plants. The species best suited to making a traditional Easter palm are:

The dried flowers in our range are available in a full spectrum of spring colours. Which ones you choose depends on your personal taste and creativity. What else will you need to make an Easter palm? It’s certainly worth stocking up on natural plant materials such as willow or boxwood twigs, which complement the dried flowers beautifully. You can add decorations to these, such as tissue paper or colourful ribbons, which will flutter beautifully with every breath of the spring breeze.

Trendy Easter decorations

What Easter decorations will be all the rage this season? One of the must-have, as well as stylish, accessories will be a wreath for the door or table made from natural dried plants. This year, wreaths in pastel shades are leading the way. Those who prefer minimalism can opt for an asymmetrical wreath on a metal hoop. In this case, neutral earth tones will reign supreme.

What else? One of the festive traditions in Polish homes is the family Easter breakfast. Table decorations will therefore be extremely important. Here we have plenty of scope to show off our creativity. You can start decorating the table by placing an Easter centrepiece on it. Small dried bouquets placed in various parts of the table are also very much in vogue. Additionally, you can decorate each guest’s place setting. A small sprig of ruscus or lagurus placed on a napkin is all it takes. Such details add style and a touch of lightness to any arrangement.

Original Easter decorations

Although traditional decorations are a classic that are well worth having in the home, many of us are looking for something more. Unconventional solutions can also be delightful. Instead of willow twigs in a vase, why not try making your own bouquet of dried plants? Ready-made kits containing just the right amount of dried flowers to create a unique arrangement will help you do this. An added bonus is their durability. Dried flowers will continue to delight the eye long after Easter is over. Minimalist arrangements in kenzans are also gaining increasing popularity. What is a kenzan? A flower stand with metal spikes, which originates from the Japanese art of flower arranging, or ikebana. To give them an Easter feel, simply add some colourful eggs or a rabbit figurine. Frames filled with pressed flowers, once a common sight, are gaining recognition. A complete novelty, however, are dried flowers encased in resin. This will require a little more skill, but as the saying goes – ‘where there’s a will, there’s a way’.

Eco-friendly Easter decorations

If you care not only about how your Easter decorations look, but also about what they’re made of and how they’re made - you’ve come to the right place. So how can you make Easter more eco-friendly? When choosing Easter decorations, it’s worth considering natural materials, such as wood, paper and metal. It’s best to buy good-quality products that are versatile and will last for years. When it comes to flowers, there are only two options: dried or cut flowers. There’s nothing stopping you from combining them :-) The selection of dried flowers in our shop is huge and incredibly varied. Dried plants can easily be matched to your interior style and personal preferences. What’s more, we dispatch dried flowers at lightning speed and always pack them securely for transport.

We also have a few tips on how to make a fresh flower arrangement more environmentally friendly. Firstly, forget about floral foam. You can arrange the flowers using floral netting or kenzan. Their advantage? They can be reused. To prevent the netting from slipping out of the vase, you can secure it with floral tape. And let’s not forget the vases available in our shop. They are made by upcycling wine bottles. They all taper towards the top, ensuring that a bouquet of flowers looks its best when placed in the vase. Their unique colours are also worth noting. You’ll also find wooden stands for dried flowers, ready for you to create your own minimalist arrangement.
