Dried bleached lunaria - annual honesty - bouquet
Lunaria annua – one of the most interesting dried plants, known as the honesty plant. Its bleached seed pods, resembling petals, contain seeds that are visible even to the naked eye. Lunaria comes from Polish cultivation.
The most frequently asked question is: ‘Why does lunaria shed its petals?’
The parts of lunaria that fall off after the drying and bleaching process are called pods, or the seed covers. Underneath them are pearl-like fruits - they are the most decorative part of this plant. You can place the lunaria in a vase with the pods or remove them completely, leaving only the pearly fruits in the bouquet.

The bunch of lunaria is quite tight – this is how the grower prepares it. Before placing it in a vase, it is worth gently separating the twigs.
