Preserved bleached love-lies-bleeding, Amaranthus - bunch

Amaranthus caudatus - also known as love-lies-bleeding, pendant amaranth, tassel flower, velvet flower, foxtail amaranth or quilete. It is an annual plant with pendant, elongated shoots full of small flowers. It beautifully decorates autumn and winter bouquets, centerpieces, table decorations, giving them a modern and original character.  The white - coloured amaranth is preserved, which means that it has been fixed in a special glycerine-based substance that makes it more flexible. This does not alter the fact that it is a completely natural product.

Please note
Bleached amaranth is a beautiful and original plant, but a few aspects are worth noting: 

  • The amaranth may appear damp to the touch in places after the stabilisation process - this is a good thing! This makes it flowing and flexible. 

  • We send the amaranth in foil, so it stays flexible for longer. 

  • Over time, the amaranth will dry out, making it stiffer but also more brittle.
